Angelo Vignola has been announced as the new director of sales and marketing at JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa.
In his new role Vignola will oversee all sales and marketing activities for the hotel, continuing to position the private island resort as a leader in the luxury hotel market.
He brings considerable experience to his new role, having worked for a range of international luxury companies.
Most recently, Vignola worked for Eleganzia Hotels & Resort where he was international sales director at the iconic Forte Village in Sardinia and for Castel Monastrero Resort in Tuscany.
Here he successfully managed a large team of sales managers and contributed to the success of one of the most important and famous resorts in the Mediterranean area.
JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is considered the World’s Leading Honeymoon Resort by the World Travel Awards, while GOCO Spa Venice at JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is considered Italy’s Best Resort Spa by the World Spa Awards
Previously, he was director of international sales for one of the largest hotel companies in Italy, Atahotels, and before this he was director of sales and marketing for Le Meridien Chia Laguna in Sardinia.
Vignola graduated in business administration at Bocconi University in Milan.
